Description

Using the database obtained from the Australian Telescope National Facility (ATNF), different types of pulsars were analyzed based on their emission mechanism. Twenty-eight pulsars were chosen from the catalog and were categorized into groups based on their radiation emission mechanism for comparison. Various parameters such as characteristic age, radio luminosity, magnetic field, pulsar period were studied to understand the properties of the pulsars. Empirical relations for these pulsars were derived from the observational data and analyzed to understand several aspects related to them like their interaction with the surroundings among others. Preliminary results imply the influence of the surrounding environment of the pulsars more than their internal conditions for some objects in our sample. We present preliminary results of our comparative analysis of pulsars and their surrounding environment.
