New name for Wernerius Téocchi & al., 2010, preoccupied by Wernerius Soleglad & Fet, 2008 (Scorpiones, Vaejovidae).
Type species: Wernerius caroli Téocchi, Sudre, Adlbauer & Jiroux, 2010, by original designation.
Included species: Karlwernerius caroli (Téocchi, Sudre, Adlbauer & Jiroux, 2010) comb. nov.
Etymology: The name honors Karl Werner, the collector of the holotype of the species.
