Mixed Complexes of Copper(II)

The complexes of the type (CuLL" X] or [CuL'HL"]X₂ (LH=HATU, 1-amidino-2- thiourea or HNMATU, N-methyl-1-amidino-2-thiourea; L'H-=HSEATU, S-ethyl-1- amidino-2-thiourea ; L" =\(\propto\)\(\propto\)' -dipyridyl/O-phenanthroline; X= Cl/Br) have been isolated from methanol medium and characterized mainly from electronic spectra. The five coordinated complexes obtained for HATU and HNMATU contain square pyramidal geometry while HSEATU complexes contain square planar one.
