Description

Docker is piece of software that has the potential to alleviate some of the pain of maintaining legacy systems and ensuring the longue durée of Digital Humanities projects. In this workshop, we offer participants a practical introduction to Docker and show by example how it can be integrated into existing and new Digital Humanities projects. Participants will follow along with the presenter, deploying example applications on their own laptops using Docker. The workshop is based on a workshop developed internally at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities. It is designed to be practical and accessible to a broad audience. It covers basic concepts and commands that arise in one's regular work with Docker.

Ein Beitrag zur 8. Tagung des Verbands "Digital Humanities im deutschsprachigen Raum" - DHd 2022 Kulturen des digitalen Gedächtnisses.
