Kinetic Analysis of Consecutive Irreversible First Order Reaction. Hydrolysis of Oxalic Acid Dihydrazide

The hydrolysis of oxalic acid dihydrazide in presence of acid catalyst is a consecutive irreversible reaction. This dihydrazide in various mineral acids is hydrolysed to mono­hydrazide, which undergoes further hydrolysis to oxalic acid and hydrazine. The reaction follows first order kinetics.
