Geranyl and citronellyl bromides are condensed with different substituted phenols (2-isopropylphenol, 4-isopropylphenol, 5-isopropyl-2-methylphenol and 6-isopropyl-3-methylphenol) in the presence of a base to give their respective ethers. These ethers have been modified at the terminal double bond to give various derivatives. All these compounds have been tested for their juvenile hormone (JH) activity against \(\mathcal{Dysdercus koenigii fabricus}\)
