Synthesis of Some Substituted(3N- aminomethyl-1'-phenyl-4'-amino )substituted phenyl-4(3H)-quinazolones as Antiamoebic Agents

Thirty two new substituted(3N-aminomethyl-1'-phenyl-4'-amido)substituted phenyl-­4(3H)-quinazolones were synthesised and screened for in vitro amoebicidal activity against the axenic culture of Entamoeba histolytica. Some of these compounds have displayed significant amoebicidal activity at a concentration of 125 μg ml^-1.
