Description
Carventus kormilevi Hoberlandt, 1963: 132–136, Figs 6–8 (original description, key).
The holotype and one paratype (the allotype) are deposited in NMPC:
HOLOTYPE (J): ‘Périnet [p] // INSTITUT / SCIENTIFIQUE / MADAGASCAR [p, pale blue label] // Holotypus [p] J / Carventus / kormilevi n.sp. [hw] / Det. L. Hoberlandt, 19[p]61 [hw, red label]’. (Specimen card-mounted; left antennal segments II–IV, right antennal segments III–IV, left pro- and mesotarsus, and right mesotibia and tarsus missing.)
PARATYPE (♀): ‘ Madagaskar [p] // Schaufuss. [p] // Madagaska / Schaufuss. [hw, blue label] // Allotypus [p] ♀ / Carventus / kormilevi n. sp. [hw] / Det. L. Hoberlandt, 19[p]61 [hw, red label] // Mus. Nat. Pragae / Inv. [p] 11.081 [hw, orange label]’.
Current status. Valid species: Burgeonia kormilevi (Hoberlandt, 1963) (see KORMILEV & FROESCHNER 1987, HEISS 2012).
