Current status: Ardeicola expallidus Blagoveshtchensky, 1940; Tuff 1970: 484; Palma 1999: 379.
Type host: Bubulcus ibis coromandus (Linnaeus)
Type locality: Faisalabad [as Lyallpur, Punjab], Pakistan.
Type material: Holotype female (labelled as “ TYPE ”) and allotype male deposited in the NHML [slide NHML010667926]. The paratypes have not been located.
