Cette variete se rapporte a bruta dont elle differe par son gastre faiblement pubescent et assez luisant.
Congo belge: Kasenga (Dr. Stappers). Ces [[worker]] [[worker]] ont la pubescence du thorax aussi cuivree que chez cupreopubescens; elle est doree chez les exemplaires types.
