Description

Fonsecia palmella Brennan and Loomis

Barnwell Co., Carolina Bay, 23 July 2000, ex Eumeces latriceps (Schneider), coll. R.R. Montanuccii.

Larvae of F. palmella are mainly parasitic on birds, but this species also has been taken from rabbits and lizards (Loomis 1956; Dohany & Cromroy 1976).
