Leptolaelaps lambda Evans, 1957: 47.

Leptolaelaps lambda: Karg, 1983: 391; 1997: 216.

Specimens examined: Site 94­1, 1 female.

Leptolaelaps lambda was described from 3 specimens from Knysna (Evans, 1957), and is now recorded from a single specimen from Cape Town. The species is presumed to be predatory, but is obviously rare.
