Xylothrips religiosus Boisduval

Description

* Xylothrips religiosus (Boisduval)

Kotosho [Lanhsu], 1, (no collector and date) (TARI).

It is likely that this species was imported to Taiwan. The natural distribution of the species is from Maluku (Indonesia) and Papua New Guinea to the islands of the Pacific. However, it is frequently intercepted worldwide in packing materials, wooden pallets and other wooden items (Froggatt 1927, Ivie 2002).
