Description
WELL-BEING FOR US - Manual for families
UPRIGHT is a scientifically tested psychoeducational resilience intervention based in schools, designed to promote the mental wellbeing and prevent mental disorders of adolescents. It uses a whole-school approach, involving adolescents, their families and the entire school community. The intervention consists of two programmes called WELL-BEING FOR US and WELL-BEING FOR ALL. Each programme is described in its corresponding Manual.
This file contains the WELL-BEING FOR US - Manual for families. Families should be involved whenever possible in the UPRIGHT intervention since they play an important role in adolescents resilience learning. This manual is for families wishing to learn and practise the resilience skills of the UPRIGHT intervention on their own. They are the same resilience skills and components that adolescents are learning, so they both share the same language. This manual briefly explains each skill and component of the programme and has skill-specific exercises for the families. These exercises can be done individually or as a family group.
