Natural hosts: Anas sibilatrix Poepping, Cygnus melanocorypha (Molina). Experimental hosts: Mus musculus L., Gallus gallus domesticus (L.). Site of infection: ceca.
Localities: Pellegrini Lake, Río Negro Province; Del Burro lagoon, Buenos Aires Province; Buenos
Aires Zoological Garden, Buenos Aires city.
Life history: in Buenos Aires Zoological Garden, Buenos Aires city. Hi1: Biomphalaria peregrina
(d’Orbigny) (natural host).
