Uromyces commelinae Cooke
on Commelina sp. Panama, Chiriqui Province, Boquete, 8°46.691'N, 82°25.968'W, 26 Nov. 2004, leg. J.R. Hernandez and M. Vega Rios 2004- 121, II-III (BPI 864203).
U. commelinae was reported as cosmopolitan from the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Oceania (Farr et al. 2004). This is the first report of U. commelinae from Panama.
