Stibasoma bella Limeira-de-Oliveira & Rafael, 2005: 639 –642 (description).

Redescription. Female (holotype). Head. Frons slightly divergent above; black with sparse dark brown to black pollinosity; black hairs, except for dark yellow hairs in middle, best seen in side view. Frontal callus as broad as frons, black and shiny. Subcallus dark brown to black, with dense yellowish-gray pollinosity. Antenna black, scape and pedicel with black hairs. Basal flagellomere with dorsal spine reaching second flagellomere. Face, parafacia, gena and postgena dark brown, with sparse yellowish-gray pollinosity and black hairs, except for postgena with mixed black and yellow hairs. Palpus dark brown to black with black hairs.

Thorax. Scutum dark brown to black, with gray pollinosity and yellow hairs on the lateral and distal margins of the scutum, forming two longitudinal stripes sub-laterally; remaining hairs black. Scutelum dark brown to black, with gray pollinosity and yellow hairs. Postpronotal lobe light brown with sparse light brown pollinosity and few yellow hairs. Notopleuron brown with yellow hairs. Proepisternum dark brown to black with black hairs. Proepimeron dark brown to black with gray pollinosity and black hairs. Anepisternum dark brown to black with gray pollinosity in frontal view, black hairs and few yellow hairs along base of wing. Anepimeron lighter than the anepisternum, with gray pollinosity in anterior view and black hairs. Katatergite and katepisternum dark brown to black with gray pollinosity and black hairs. Katepimeron light brown, with gray pollinosity. Coxa dark brown to black with gray pollinosity and black hairs; femur with white hairs distally on the anterior, anterodorsal and anteroventral sides and tibia with white hairs proximally on the anterior, anterodorsal and anteroventral sides; tarsus with reddish hairs on the ventral side; the remaining with black hairs. Wing brown with hyaline apex. Venation brown. Pterostigma brown. Halter light brown, yellowish at apex.

Abdomen. Tergites 1 to 6 with a row of yellow hairs along lateral margin, distal segments light brown to dark yellow, with yellow hairs. Tergite 1 with yellow hairs in middle, forming inverted triangle. Tergite 2 with sparse yellow hairs in middle. The remaining tergites dark brown to black with black hairs. Sternites dark yellow, with yellow hairs, except for black hairs proximally on sternite 1.

Measurements. (n = 1, holotype) Body length: 15.71mm. Wing length: 14.29mm. Frontal index: 3.9. Divergence index: 1.33.

Male: unknown.

Type-locality. Brazil (Maranhão).

Distribution. Brazil (Maranhão).
