Description

Trimeroptes (Keifer, 1940)

Type species: Trimeroptes aleyrodiformis (Keifer, 1940)

Diagnosis: body spindleform, gnathosoma large, abruptly bent down at right angles; shield with a broad frontal lobe extending over the rostrum base and emarginate apically, scapular tubercles ahead of the rear shield margin and directing setae forward; coxae with three pairs of setae; legs with basiventral femoral setae absent, genual and tibial setae present, empodium divided; dorsal opisthosoma with three ridges, median ridge divided for a short distance behind shield, all ventral setae present; female genital coverflap striate basally.
