Epinotia solandriana Linnaeus 1758
Authors/Creators
Description
rusticana Fabricius, 1794
Pyralis rusticana Fabricius, 1794: 254.
Type locality. France (“Habitat in Gallia Dom. Bosc”).
Material examined. None.
Identity. Epinotia solandriana (Linnaeus, 1758) (Olethreutinae, Eucosmini), new synonym.
Remarks. Pyralis rusticana is an unused name. It is not included by Brown (2005) or Beccaloni et al. (2005). Based on Herrich-Schäffer (1856), we agree that it is a synonym of Tortrix parmatana Hübner, which is a synonym of Tortrix solandriana Linnaeus.
