Cerambycini

Description

Cerambycini in Cerambycinae

The tribe Cerambycini includes in the Neotropical Region two subtribes, Cerambycina with 10 genera and 42 species and Sphallotrichina with 19 genera and 132 species (Monné et al., 2009).

The genus Amphelictus was studied by Eya & Chemsak (2003a, b) and traditionally belonged to the tribe Hesperophanini. Martins & Monné (2005) transferred the genus to Sphallotrichina, Cerambycini as related to Coleoxestia Aurivillius, 1912. Here we propose three new synonymies.
