2. Oscaecilia Taylor, 1968

Type species: Caecilia ochrocephala Cope, 1866 by original designation. Diagnosis: The only caeciliids with the eyes covered by bone.

Distribution: Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Panama, Peru. Content: Nine species (bassleri, elongata, equatorialis, hypereumeces, koepckeorum, ochrocephala, osae, polyzona, zwiefeli).
