Distribution in Iran. Alborz (Kheradmand et al. 2002, 2005), Ardabil (Modarres Awal 1987; Linnavuori 2007), East Azarbaijan (Modarres Awal 1997a; Sadaghian et al. 2004; Khaghaninia et al. 2010a, b, 2011; Nikdel et al. 2011), Fars, Kerman (Brown 1966; Linnavuori 2011), Golestan (Wagner 1968; Heiss 2002; Ghahari et al. 2011), Guilan (Linnavuori 2007), Hormozgan (Kiritshenko 1966), Isfahan (Hatami 1992), Kermanshah (Samin et al. 2011, as Lygaeus equestris ssp. equestris), Khorasan (Hoberlandt 1954; Modarres Awal 1996b), Lorestan (Linnavuori 2011), Mazandaran (Wagner 1968; Heiss 2002), Semnan (Jakovlev 1877; Hoberlandt 1954), Sistan & Baluchestan (Kiritshenko 1966), Tehran (Brown 1966), Northern Iran (no locality cited) (Lindberg 1938), Iran (no locality cited) (Yarmand et al. 2002).
General distribution. HoloPalearctic.
Comments. On Cannabis sp., Cynanchum vincetoxicum, Gossypium sp., Sinapis sp., etc. (Linnavuori 2011).
