Neides tipularius var. brevipennis Puton, 1895: 91; Neides brevipennis Horváth, 1917: 380.

Distribution in Iran. East Azarbaijan, Semnan (Péricart 1984), Fars, Kerman (Linnavuori 2011), Guilan (Linnavuori 2007), Khorasan (Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1999; Modarres Awal 2008).

General distribution. Ponto Caucasian, Near East, Iraq, Iran, Turkmenistan, Yemen. Comment. On Echium sp. (Boraginaceae) (Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1999; Linnavuori 2007), Astragalus sp. (Fabaceae) (Linnavuori 2007).
