Description

Maritrema orensensis Cremonte & Martorelli, 1998

Type host. Larus dominicanus Lichtenstein (Aves: Laridae). Site of infection. Intestine.

Type locality. Argentina, Buenos Aires Province, Balneario Orense (38°42ʹS, 59º47ʹW). Holotype: MLP 3955. Paratypes: MLP 3956 (7 specimens). Remarks. Paratype in the Helminthological Collection of the Institute of Parasitology, České Budĕjovice,

Czech Republic.
