Contracaecum australe Garbin, Mattiucci, Paoletti, González –Acuña & Nascetti, 2011

Type host. Phalacrocorax brasilianus (Gmelin) (Aves: Phalacrocoracidae). Site of infection. Stomach.

Type locality. Chile, VIII Región, Laguna Santa Elena (37º15ʹS, 72º28ʹW). Holotype: 3 MLP 6208. Paratypes: MLP 6209 (allotype Ƥ), MLP 6210. Remarks. Holotype accession number in Genbank is GQ847539. Reference. Garbin et al. (2011).
