Description

Subgenus Forcipomyia (Saliohelea) Wirth & Ratanaworabhan

Diagnosis. Female adults: the only subgenus of Forcipomyia in the New World with fourth and fifth palpal segments completely fused, mandibular teeth absent, a hind leg tarsal ratio of 2.11–2.75 and with a single functional spermatheca; males are not diagnosable at this time.
