Description
Ogcodes nr. schembrii Chvála
Material. Iran, Ghazvin Province, Ghazvin city, Zarabad village, Plant Medicinal Research Station, 36°28'N 50°24'E, 1520 m, 5.VI.–11.VIII.2009, leg. Babak Gharali (1♂ SMTD (DNA voucher CK608 (GenBank voucher HG800022)); Iran, Alborz Province, Karaj, Kordan, 35°55'56"N 50°49'52"E, 1400 m asl., 6.–20.VIII.2012, leg. Bahareh Majnon Jahromi (1♂ PCJF).
Remarks. The specimens do not belong to any of the hitherto cited species from Iran and likely represent an undescribed taxon. However, as Ogcodes is a species-rich (27 Palaearctic species) and taxonomically difficult group, it is currently not possible to determine the identity of the specimens.
