(Figs. 7, 19, 26)
Glyphipterix gamma Moriuti et Saito, 1964: 62. TL: Japan (Kyushu); Heppner, 1982: 49; Diakonoff, 1986: 318, Pl. 15, Fig. 128 1−2.
Description. Adult (Fig. 7) with wingspan 9−10.5 mm.
Diagnosis. This species belongs to the delta -group. It resembles G. dolichophyes Diakonoff, 1978 and G. pseudogamma Arita et Heppner, 1992 superficially and in the male genitalia. But G. gamma is bristled in the middle of the diaphragma (Fig. 19), G. dolichophyes has diaphragma laterally bristled, and G. pseudogamma lacks bristles on diaphragma. As is indicated by Arita & Heppner (1992) that the antrum of G. pseudogamma is larger and stouter, the cestum is comparatively shorter and broader than that in G. gamma, and the maculation of the forewing also shows stronger markings than in G. gamma. However, the female genitalia of G. pseudogamma are not quite distinguishable from those of G. gamma in our collections. So G. pseudogamma might be a subspecies of G. gamma.
