Eupithecia parallelaria Bohatsch, 1893

[Eupithecia] unedonata var. parallelaria Bohatsch, 1893, Deutsche Entomologische Zeitung, Iris 6 (1): 22. Lectotype ♀ (designated by Vojnits, 1982; coll. R. Püngeler in MNHU, examined), Corsica; France (southern); [Turkmenistan]: Achal- Tekke [= Akkal-Tekke region]; [Lebanon]: Beirut; [Spain]: Barcelona.

Eupithecia innotata contracta Vojnits, 1982, Annales historico-naturales Musei Nationalis Hungarici 74: 228, figs 11–13. Lectotype ♀ (coll. K. Dietze in MNHU, examined), [Uzbekistan / Tajikistan]: Syr-Darja (synonymised in Mironov & Galsworthy, 2013).

Eupithecia mystica Vojnits, 1988, Annales historico-naturales Musei Nationalis Hungarici 80: 81, pl. 1, figs 6, 7; pl. 4, figs 29– 32. Holotype ♂ (ZISP, examined), Tajikistan: Badakhshan, Horog, 2300 m. [Junior primary homonym of Eupithecia gemellata f. mystica Dietze, 1910] (synonymised to Eupithecia emittens Inoue, 1996 in Mironov et al., 2008b).

Eupithecia emittens Inoue, 1996, Transactions of the Lepidopterological Society of Japan 47 (4): 241, figs 5, 6, 10, 13. Holotype ♂ (coll. H. Inoue in BMNH, examined), [Pakistan]: Baltistan, Route de Shigar, 17 km Nord de Skardu (synonymised in Mironov & Galsworthy, 2013).

Misidentification: Eupithecia unedonata f. famelica Dietze, 1910 (1♀ paralectotype in coll. K. Dietze in MNHU).

A bivoltine Central Asian species which occurs from Iran and Turkmenistan in the west through Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan and Kazakhstan to north western China (Xinjiang) in the east. It was recorded for Mongolia by Dietze (1913) and subsequently by Viidalepp (1975) on the basis of a single very worn female. Mongolia (aimags): Bayan-Khongor, Govi-Altai, Khovd, Umnugovi, Uvurkhangai.
