Genus: Kisaura Ross 1956
Type species: Sortosa obrussa Ross 1956: 57 (original designation).
Description. Spurs: 2, 4, 4; Fore- and hind wings with primitive venation for Philopotamidae except forewing fork I variably located near or considerably beyond sectoral cross vein s, R2 sometimes atrophied, and 2A incomplete; fork II sometimes absent also in hind wings (Ross 1956). Male genitalia with pair of lateral spiniform processes between tergum X and preanal appendages; inferior appendages each 2-segmented, simple, with mesoventral plate developed between two segments; apical segment with diagnostic longitudinal track of spine-like setae on its mesal surface.
Distribution. Oriental and Palearctic Regions.
