Note. According to V. Kubáň (personal communication), part of specimens identified as J. c. gotwendensis (Loc. no. 308), J. euphratica beludjistana and J. e. euphratica (both from Loc. no. 304) in Bily (1983a) actually belong to J. consobrina consobrina. The records for Kerman, Kermanshah, Sistan & Baluchestan, Tehran (Borumand 2002), and Khorasan (Sakenin et al. 2008) are most probably misidentifications with different subspecies of J. euphratica. Additionaly, J. pietzehmanni var. deserticoloides Théry 1926 (see below) is a junior synonym of J. c. gotwendensis. According to V. Kubáň, J. c. consobrina is a habitant of clay and stony soils on the hills while J. c. gotwendensis is associated with coastal sandy soils.
