Amblyseius (Kampimodromus) chergui.—Wainstein, 1962: 14. Eharius (Eharius) chergui.—Kolodochka, 1995: 84. Eharius chergui.—Moraes et al., 2004: 58.

This species was described from Algeria on Marrubium vulgare. It has mainly been observed in the Mediterranean basin. It was already reported from Morocco by Tixier et al. (2003) on Marrubium vulgare. This species has been mainly found on plant species of the family Lamiaceae. Nothing is known of its biology.

Specimens examined: 2002, Oum Er Biaroad on Calamentha sp. (Lamiaceae) (23 females), Beni Melal on an unknown plant (1 female); 2003, Abjelil on Centaurea pungens (Asteraceae) (2 females), Gorges of Zegzel on Marrubium vulgare (Lamiaceae) (7 females), Ras El Ma on Marrubium vulgare (Lamiaceae) (1 female), Cydonia oblonga (Rosaceae) (1 female), Oued Nja on Marrubium vulgare (Lamiaceae) (4 females, 3 males).
