Discheramocephalus parvus sp. n ..

Habitus Fig. 6. Length 0.58 mm. Colour dark brown, head black, antennae and legs dusky yellow. Antennomeres 3–11 0.15 mm long.. Mentum and submentum chaetotaxy Fig. 23. Width across eyes 0.15 mm. Pronotum 0.18 mm wide, 0.17 mm long with two very fine linear depressions Fig. 12. Elytra 0.34 mm long, 0.23 mm wide. Mesoventral collar and keel Fig. 29. Ventrite VIII with two pits Fig. 19. Pygidium with +/- 8 teeth. Aedeagus Fig. 19.

. Etymology. From the Latin adjective parvus meaning little, small.

Diagnosis. The small size and dark colouration coupled with the alutaceous pronotum will quickly distinguish this species.

Type data: Holotype: PERU: Cusco Dept.: Villa Carmen Field Station, cafeteria ~ 1.7 km west, research transect, 12.89250°S 71.41917°W, 555m, 21–22.V.2011, D.J. Bennett & E. Razuri, flight intercept trap, PER-11- FIT-007 (MUSM). Paratype: PERU: Cusco Dept.: Villa Carmen Field Station, cafeteria ~ 1.7 km west, research transect, 12.89221°S 71.41946°W, 560m, 26–28.V.2011, D.J. Bennett & E. Razuri, flight intercept trap, PER-11- FIT-014 (SEMC).
