Type locality(-ies): “Buitenzorg, in einem Certonnest. Von Herrn Karawaїew erhalten”.
Original Karawajew label(-s): “ Dolichoderus (Hypoclinea) / patens Mayr v. Karawaiewi / Forel. Typus + 2876. / Buitenzorg”.
Material: “ SYNTYPES ”, 8 w, 1 q, 1 m (newly mounted, IN 314/6/1), 641 w, 6 q, 2 m, 4 pupae (in alcohol, IN 314/ BAMS 1/Karaw25–31).
