Material examined. ETHIOPIA: SNNPR, Bench Maji, Dembi Forest (1260 m), 14.IV.2015 (light), B. Massa (1Ƌ, BMPC); Omo Valley, Chocio (2800 m), 28.II.1898, 1♀ (MSNG).
Remarks. The genus Lanista Bolívar 1890, as well as the genus Lanistoides Sjöstedt 1913, needs to be revised. More material is needed to identify our specimens with certainty.
