TECHNOLOGY PARKS AND INNOVATION IN BRAZIL: AN ANALYSIS OF SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTION

Technology Parks in Brazil have developed rapidly in recent years where universities, companies and government work play together play a fundamental role improving the regions in which they are located as well as innovation environments in which they contribute to students, researchers and companies in order to develop innovative products and processes with applicability and commercial vision. The methodology of this article consists in an exploratory study of a quali-quantitative nature using the Scopus database to search for data. Filters were applied to tabulate the data. Regarding to the results, from 2010 onwards, the number of articles has increased significantly however it was only in 2021 that the largest number of articles in this database was reached. The authors who have published most frequently on the subject are not Brazilians. The main educational institutions are foreign and the publications more often on the subject were from the Complutense University of Madrid with 13 articles. Regarding to the areas and subareas of knowledge, the most addressed issue was Business, Management and Accounting with 267 articles. The ranking of countries that presented the largest number of publications indicate China stood out with 85 articles and Brazil presented 34 articles on the subject in this data base. It is concluded that despite the Technology Parks have being important for Brazil in terms of innovation, there still have been few scientific productions developed on the subject.
