Description
The family Barychelidae is represented by 42 genera and 295 species and has a worldwide distribution. Only two genera Pisenor Simon, 1889 and Sipalolasma Simon, 1892 known from three species are presently known from South Africa. The family is in need of a revision. The three species recorded here have a wide
distribution and are listed as Least Concern.
