The N. arctata species-group
Nyctemera (Dondera) alba (Moore, 1877): 344. Type locality: “ Ceylon ” [Pundaloya]. Distribution: Sri Lanka (Hampson, 1901).
Nyctemera (Dondera) arctata Walker, 1856: 1664. Type locality: “Hindostan” [India], “Cherra Poonjee” [India, Assam, Cherrapunji].
= Nyctemera maculosa Walker, 1864: 198. Type locality: “ Hindostan ” [India]. Distribution: North and East India; Bhutan; Nepal; China (Yunnan, Tibet); Myanmar; Thailand; Malaysia (Malay Peninsula).
Nyctemera (Dondera) albofasciata (Wileman, 1911): 31 (Deilemera albofasciata). Type locality: “from Kagi district (7000 ft.), Formosa ” [Taiwan].
= Deilemera arctata f. tamahonis Matsumura, 1931; 6000 illust. Insects Japan-Empire: 953, fig. Type locality: Taiwan [in Japanese].
Distribution: Taiwan; Philippines (Luzon) (de Vos & Černý 1999).
Nyctemera (Dondera) zerenoides (Butler, 1881): 380. Type locality: Sumatra (Roepke, 1957). Distribution: Indonesia (Sumatra, Java) (de Vos 2015).
Nyctemera (Dondera) scalarium scalarium (Snellen van Vollenhoven, 1863): 50–51 (Leptosoma scalarium). Type locality: “Java”.
= Deilemera arctata javana Reich, 1932: 237 –238, pl. 1, figs. 3, 7. Type locality: “ Java occ. … Preanger, Vulkan Gede, Westjava … Java ohne nähere Bezeichnung” [Indonesia].
= Nyctemera dentifascia, Kalis, 1934: 41, figs. (nec Snellen). Type locality: “ auf dem Wilisgebirge – in Ost-Java; … Dorado … in einer Höhe von twa 3000 Fuss” [Indonesia].

Nyctemera (Dondera) montana Holloway, 1976: 6, pl. 2, fig. 23 (Nyctemera montana). Type locality: “Kamburongoh … [SABAH: Mt. Kinabalu, Kamborangoh 2110 m.]” [East Malaysia]. Distribution: Borneo.
