Description
Oedemera (Oedemera) podagrariae podagrariae (Linnaeus, 1767)
Distribution in Iran. Golestan (Samin et al. 2015; Švihla 1983), Mazandaran, Northern Khorasan (Švihla 1983). General distribution. Caucasus, Central and southern Europe, Iran, Russia, Turkey, Turkmenistan (Švihla 1999b, 2008a; Vázquez 2002; Montalto & Bologna 2011; Kerimova & Huseynova 2014).
Chorotype. Turano-European.
Comments. It occurs in luminous forests, dry meadows, field margins and fallow. Adults appear in June and are observed till September on flowers of different plants, grasses and cereal spikes (Ferenca et al. 2013).
