Type Locality: India: TN, Nilgiri Hills (ST ♂ & ♀); MNHNP.

Dorysthenes montanus Guérin-Méneville, 1843: 54, pl. 13 (♂ & ♀) (Distr.); White, 1853b: 7; Gahan, 1906: 7 (Fauna); Majumder et al., 2014b: 854, tab. 1 (Distr.).

Distribution: India (TN: Nilgiri Hills; Anaimalai Hills) & Myanmar.
