Serixia Pascoe, 1856: 45 (type sp.: Serixia apicalis Pascoe, 1857); Iole Pascoe, 1858a: 254 (type sp.: Iole prolata Pascoe, 1858) (Pre-occupied by Iole Blyth, 1844, Aves); Iolea Pascoe, 1858a: 266 (type sp.: not desg. in original paper) (n. nom. pro Iole Pascoe); Xyaste Pascoe, 1866b: 257 (type sp.: Iole nigripes Pascoe); Nigroserixia Breuning, 1958a: 253 (type sp.: Serixia atripes Breuning).
