Penia apicalis Fleutiaux, 1936: 289.

Type depositories. Lectotype [here designated, with the following label data: Chapa, Tonkin (ex Jeanvoine), Coll. Clermont, Type, Examined W. Suzuki, 1982, male, Penia apicalis Fleut. Type, Collection Fleutiaux, Museum Paris, Collection E. Fleutiaux, Lectotype], male (MHNP); Paralectotype [here designated, with the following label data: Chapa, Tonkin, Vitali, 1179, Syntype, apicalis Fleut., Paralectotype], male (MHNP). The lectotype has been designated in order to fix the identity of the species for future studies.

Type locality. Vietnam: Tonkin, Chapa.

Distribution. Vietnam.
