Urostylus [incorrect subsequent spelling]: Ahmad et al. (1992: 263, 265, 271, 275) (redescription, fauna of India and neighbouring regions).

Distribution and diversity. Urostylis currently contains 64 described species (D.A. Rider, pers. comm.), but one of them is synonymized below, reducing the number of species to 63. We are nevertheless aware of a number of additional unpublished synonymies and several undescribed species.
