Plectranthias intermedius (Kotthaus, 1973)
Xenanthias intermedius Kotthaus, 1973
Holotype: ZMH 5132, 80.8 mm SL.
Type locality: off Socotra Island, Arabian Sea, 11°33.9' N, 52°54' E to 11°38' N, 52°52' E, METEOR station 102, depth 290 to 190 meters. Illustrations: Heemstra & Randall, 2009:10, fig. 5; Kotthaus, 1973:22, figs. 293–296; Randall, 1980:138, fig. 12.

Distribution: northwestern Indian Ocean: Arabian Sea, off Socotra Island, near the entrance to the Gulf of Aden.
