Holotype: NSMT–P 21438, 196 mm SL.
Type locality: off southeastern Australia, 34°51.7' S, 151°07.5' E, depth 236 meters. Illustrations: Katayama & Fujii, 1982:249, fig. 6; Kuiter, 2004:102.
D: X, 16. A: III, 7. P: 15. C: 17 (9 + 8). V: 26 (10 + 16). S: 3. GR: 37 to 41 (10 to 12 + 27 to 29). LL: 45 or 46.
Distribution: southeastern Australia: off New South Wales.
