Serranus rasor Richardson, 1839
Holotype: whereabouts unknown (Eschmeyer et al., online).
Type locality: Port Arthur, Tasmania, Australia. Illustrations: Kuiter, 2004:104 & 105; Roberts & Gomon, 2008:539.
D: X or XI, 19 to 22. A: III, 9 or 10. P: 14 or 15. C: 17 (9 + 8). LL: 47 to 55. V: 26 (11 + 15). S: 3.
Distribution: Indo–west Pacific: off southern Australia: Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, and Western Australia.
