Description
Phlugiolopsis (Longiloba) bispinata Bian & Shi, sp. nov.
(Figure 1)
Material examined. Holotype, ♂, Huanglianshan, Lvchun, Yunnan, 17 August, 2016, coll. Xun Bian & Hongchao Shi.
Description. Male. Body small, yellowish brown. Head. Face yellowish brown. Scape and pedicel blackish brown, flagellum with some annulate, brownish stripes. Fastigium verticis conical, apex obtusely rounded, with a shallow furrow in the middle; dorsal surface of head with 4 distinct dark brown stripes (Figure 1A): outer stripes extending to internal margin of antennal socket, which continued along the pronotum, medial stripes fused in fastigium verticis (Figure 1A). Eyes round-oval, brown. Apical segments of maxillary palpi slightly longer than subapical ones, apices slightly inflated.
Thorax. Disc of pronotum with a median longitudinal brown stripe, the outer margins with 1 pair of blackish brown stripes; anterior margin of pronotum slightly straight, posterior margin narrowly rounded, metazona slightly raised; the lateral lobe longer than high, posterior margin oblique (Figure 1A, B).
Tegmina. Tegmina slightly protruding from the pronotum, the posterior margin reaching the middle area of second abdominal tergite (Figure 1A). Hind wings absent.
Legs. All femora without ventral spines, apices blackish brown, genicular lobes black. Fore coxae with a small spine. Fore tibiae with 4 pairs of spines and 1 pair of apical spines on ventral surface. Middle tibiae with 3 internal and 4 external spines on ventral surface, apices with 1 ventral spine. Genicular lobes of hind femora with apices obtuse, black; tibiae with 22–24 internal and 24–25 external spines on dorsal surface, ventral surface with 2–3 internal and 2–4 external spines, apices darkish brown with 1 pair of dorsal spines and 2 pairs of ventral spines.
Abdomen. Dorsal surface of abdomen with 1 brown median longitudinal band, lateral surface blackish brown. Centre of tenth abdominal tergite slightly angular concave. Cerci. Yellow. Basal half stout, internal margin obviously expanded, circular in internal view (Figure 1C). Apical half of cerci spine-shaped, curved internodorsad, apices obtuse (Figure 1D, E). Subgenital plate with base broad, gradually narrowing, basal margin arched concave, lateral margin curved dorsad (Figure 1D); centre of posterior area narrowly lobate projecting, obviously curved downwards, its apex sclerotized with 1 pair of small spines (Figure 1F). Styli slender, conical, inserted subapically on subgenital plate.
Female. Unknown.
Measurements. Body length: ♂ 7.7 mm; length of pronotum: ♂ 3.7 mm; length of tegmina: ♂ 2.1 mm; length of hind femora: ♂ 7.4 mm.
Distribution. CHINA (Yunnan).
Comments. The new species is very similar to Phlugiolopsis (Longiloba) complanispinis Bian, Shi & Chang, 2013, but differs from the latter in: male cerci obviously longer, posterior margin of subgenital plate lobate projecting in the middle, it apex curved downward with 1 pair of small spines.
Etymology. The specific name is derived from the male subgenital plate with 1 pair of spines on apical area.
