Description
Nyssodesmus tristani (Pocock, 1909)
Platyrachus tristani Pocock, 1909: 141, pl. X, figs 6–6b (original description); Chamberlin 1914: 191 (diagnostic comments). Nyssodesmus tristani: Chamberlin 1922: 39 (combination).
Platyrhacus (Tirodesmus) tristani: Attems 1938: 241 (description).
Types: ♂ holotype (location unknown) from Costa Rica: La Palma; Tristan leg. According to Loomis (1968) at the BNHM, location unknown according to Hoffman (1999), it is probably lost.
Distribution: known only from the type locality.
