Description
Barydesmus gracilipes (Loomis, 1964)
Platyrhacus gracilipes Loomis, 1964: 60, figs 5O–R (original description); Sierwald et al. 2005: 37 (type information). Barydesmus gracilipes: Hoffman 1999: 377 (combination).
Types: ♂ holotype ♀ paratype from Panama: Prov. Chiriquí: Cerro Punta, 6600 ft; G. A. Solem leg., 7/ 8-III-1959. ♀ paratype from Panama: Prov. Chiriquí: Cerro Punta, 5600 ft; G. A. Solem leg., 7/ 8-III-1959. ♂ paratype from Panama: Prov. Chiriquí: Finca Lerida, near Boquete, 5650 ft; 14-III-1959. ♂ paratype from Panama: Prov. Chiriquí: " Barca area ", Finca Lerida, 5650 ft; G. A. Solem leg., 15-III-1959. All deposited at the FMNH (Sierwald et al. 2005).
Distribution: Chiriquí Province in western Panama.
