Gulf of Aqaba: Israel (Golani & Lerner 2007).

Red Sea main basin: ¯

Remark. Originally distributed in freshwater and transitional water of southeastern Africa; introduced into marine water of the Red Sea.

General distribution: Rivers of southeastern Africa; introduced elsewhere.
